What is the IICRC

The IICRC is the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification It is a non-profit organization dedicated to the cleaning and restoration industry. Its mission is to establish and advance globally recognized standards and certifications for the inspection, cleaning, restoration and installation industries. 

The IICRC Standards are ANSI accredited industry developed procedures in the inspection, cleaning, and restoration industries. The Standards are developed by volunteer consensus bodies and are the most utilized technical information in the industry. They are also recognized by some local, state and federal authorities. 

To follow the Standards and be recognized as an expert in the Standards, the IICRC offers certifications to technicians. There are over 25 certifications that technicians can get including Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), and Mold Removal Specialist (MRS). 

To be recognized as an IICRC Certified Firm, your business must have at least one technician with an IICRC certification. At SERVPRO of Indianapolis West that isn’t a problem.
